Chesslock is developed and maintained by Patricio Guzman, an individual developer based in France. This privacy policy explains how Chesslock collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

Chesslock does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). You do not need to create an account or enter any personal details to use the app.

2. Local Data Storage

The app stores your preferences and settings locally on your device only. This includes:

• Your selected apps to block during focus sessions
• Puzzle difficulty preference (for Pro users)
• Whether you've completed the onboarding

None of this information is transmitted off your device.

3. Anonymous Analytics

To help improve the app and understand usage patterns, Chesslock uses Mixpanel for analytics. All data collected is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you.

Examples of what we track include:

• Which features are used (e.g., focus sessions started)
• Puzzle difficulties selected (anonymously)
• Subscription status (anonymously)

This data is used solely to improve the user experience and app quality.

4. Apple Diagnostic Reports

We rely on Apple’s diagnostics and crash reports to fix bugs and improve stability. These reports are not linked to your identity and are governed by Apple’s privacy settings on your device.

5. No User-Generated Content

Chesslock does not allow users to upload or generate any personal content. There is no chat, photo, or content sharing functionality in the app.

6. Third Parties

Chesslock uses the following third-party services:

• Mixpanel – Anonymous analytics
• Apple – Diagnostic and crash reports, subscription and billing

Chesslock does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. The app is safe for general use but is not specifically designed for children.
